Indy Dental Group- Office Manager Intern

During my time interning for Indy Dental Group, I learned a lot about the duties of an office manager. While interning, I worked in billing discussing with patients the status of their account and what they have a credit for or what they have a bill for. During my internship, I also worked on open claims and figuring out what needed to be completed to get them paid. Interning here really enhanced my knowledge on what all goes into running a healthcare facility. 
Indy Dental Group- Front Office Assistant
June 2023- December 2024
While working at Indy Dental Group in the front office, I verified insurance eligibility, talked on the phone with patients, scheduled appointments, and created treatment plans for patients so they were aware of their appointment costs. Working in the front office helped learn the flow of a healthcare facility as well as gain real- life experience in the healthcare industry.
